🎶 This Magic Moment 🎶
I took a quick break from capturing moments to experience one of my own
A beautiful day for a lakeside wedding for a good friend of mine. On this particular shoot I had the honor of having my friend Elizabeth second shoot for me which explains why I am in front of the camera this time around as opposed to behind it. She is a very talented photographer and snapped this awesome shot of us. You can check out her Instagram here. Since she was the brains behind the shutter, I'll change gears a bit for this post and instead go in depth on how I edited it.
For this particular shoot she used the following: (click for links to Amazon)
My edit flow for this image consisted RAW processing in Lightroom and adding some final touches in Photoshop. Once loaded up in LR I bumped up the contrast, added clarity, dropped the highlights & whites, and upped the shadows & blacks. I tweaked the hue of the greens to push them towards the blues and took their Luminosity down as well. I then cranked on the Dehaze slider as I absolutely love the effect it has on portraits. After tweaking everything a bit more I imported into Photoshop and fired up the Retouching Academy Retouch Panel. I used the panel for some dodging & burning to increase micro-contrast and smooth the skin tones out a bit. I also used some other tools on the panel to bring out more correct skin tones and remove a green hue that I noticed. I then added a Curves layer to increase contrast and make it pop a bit more. I added a final sharpening mask and VOILA!
